Photos of Saddam's two dead sons were released today. Follow the link to check them out. What's fucked up is that initial reports named the informant as a Nawaf al-Zaydan Muhammad. Here's your 30 million dollars, good luck spending it.

Dine with Comic Legends

--Posted by Riposte101 @ 7/12/03 18:07 PST.

Win a dinner with three of my favorite and most respected creative types Hugo award winning writer Neil Gaiman or with multiple Eisner winner Frank Miller or with the man himself Will Eisner at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Win all three and have Frank Miller on one arm and Neil Gaiman on the other while getting a piggy-back ride from Will Eisner. Sexual favors can be negotiated after dinner.

Karl Malone to be a Laker

--Posted by Riposte101 @ 7/10/03 23:56 PST.

The Karl Malone a.k.a. the Mailman, formerly of the Utah Jazz has agreed to sign with the Lakers for the veteranís minimum of 1.5 million dollars. The league's MVP in 1997 and 1999, Malone averaged 20.6 points last season to lead Utah for the 17th consecutive year. He is also the second all-time leading scorer in the NBA. With the addition of Gary Payton having joined the Lakers' lineup just a few days previous, the Lakers will boast a line-up with four superstar players that each have a lock on the hall of fame.

Shaq, Kobe, Payton and now Malone? It is needless to say they are favored to take it all this year. Payton and Malone gave up a lot of money to pursue their dream of winning a NBA championship that has eluded them both through their otherwise great careers. This got Terralor and myself to thinking that wouldn't it be cruel irony if the Jazz won the championship next year. I would laugh and laugh and laugh and Malone and Payton would cry and cry and cry.

I thought it was pretty cool that Magic Johnson brought his number 32 out of retirement so Mailman could use it. Very classy. I usually don't root for the Lakers but now they have my favorite player on their team. Plus, uh, it kinda seems dumb to root for anyone else. Unless you like cheering for losers. Cause that's what everyone else will be. Losers.

This is the official website that will be used to judge the previously mentioned "Defacers Challenge" scheduled for this Sunday. It should be noted that both the sponsors of the contest and Zone-H itself deny that Zone-H has anything to do with this contest except as an impartial, third-party judge, and even this Zone-H did not choose to be. The contest will be held from 09:00 to 15:00 Estonian time, which is 23:00 to 05:00 tonight July 5th. Should be interesting to watch. I, personally, wonder if the winners will accept the free webhosting that is being offered to the winner considering ISS and other internet security agencies will most certainly be watching this contest closely.
