Yea I like western MMo’s a lot more because they aren’t grind fests like most asian.I’ve played many diiferen’t asian mmo’s i.e Flyff,Perfect World International,Rappelz,and a few others.I really enjoyed WoW,But i played on a Private server.BLizzard shut the server down for no apparent reason though.

Hey Gtracer,
Sorry, my previous comment did not have the link to the article. I’ve fixed it. There are a ton of free Korean and Chinese MMOs for download also that come at the same design problems that western MMOs have, but solve the problems with different design choices. Those are good places to look at too.

Hey Gtracer, if you want to become a video game designer, you will want to refer to my article: Become a Video Game Designer: Everything You Need to Know. If you want to want to go into another discipline (animator, level artist, concept artist, producer, programmer, etc.), let me know and I'll see if I can find anything to help you out. If you want to work on MMORPGs I would recommend playing a lot of them and study what they are doing. There are many obscure titles in that genre that have a lot of interesting ideas.
